I am an ambitious and creative multimedia journalist with a passion for people and a love for storytelling.
Currently, I am reporting for WRAL in Raleigh, NC, where I am telling stories across Eastern North Carolina. With a versatile range of coverage under my belt, I'm particularly drawn to shedding light on underrepresented topics. From pitching stories to shooting, writing, and editing content, I engage in the full spectrum of journalistic duties on a daily basis.
Prior to embarking on my journey in Raleigh, I covered Southern Delaware for WRDE Coast TV. In 2021, I completed a master's degree in journalism and public affairs from American University in Washington, D.C., where I earned two student EMMY awards for my coverage. While pursuing my degree, I had the opportunity to intern for The Lead with Jake Tapper at CNN. Collaborating with seasoned journalists, I contributed to coverage of critical events such as the war in Ukraine and the relentless impact of the coronavirus pandemic. As an undergraduate student at the University of Arkansas, I proudly earned an SPJ award for reporting on the Black Lives Matter protests.
